World Cups | Canada Soccer's Active Start Fest

Dear World Cups Festival families,

Like so many other sporting and community events, the 2020 World Cups Youth Soccer Festival is currently postponed and on pause due to COVID-19 outbreak. Please see the questions and answers below for more information.

1) When will the 2020 World Cups Festival be?

At this point we are not entirely sure. Only when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted we'll be able to hold our annual event.  We have identified May Long Weekend, Labour Day Weekend, and Thanksgiving Weekend as alternate possible options for our two-day festival. That said, it all hinges on when the government restrictions are lifted.

2) Can I get a refund for the registration money I have paid?

Given that the World Cups Festival has spent thousands of dollars in preparation for the 2020 festival, including charitable donations that have already been made, we are currently not in a position to issue refunds. If we refunded all registration & sponsor money the festival would be in debt and likely not run in 2021. That said, we are committed to ensure every family gets access to the festival in a fair and open way.

3) What if I can't make the rescheduled 2020 Festival?

If you can't make the rescheduled 2020 festival (whenever that is), we will honour your registration for the 2021 World Cups Festival.

4) When will we know when the festival is being held?

We'll be sure to contact you via email when we determine the date of the festival.

In closing, thanks for your patience and support through these unprecedented times.

Stay safe and be well,

The World Cups Festival Committee
